What is the actual lifespan of prefab houses? Answering questions about HutJet
Is modular housing a trend or a truly reliable solution? Will such houses last for decades? How do they perform in winter? What about sound insulation? We've collected the most common questions you ask us in video comments and social media — and we're answering honestly, in detail, and to the point. Are prefab houses truly durable? This is probably one of the most common questions — and honestly, one of the easiest for us to answer. Do HutJet prefab houses last for decades? Yes, and remarkably well.First, HutJet isn't about 'on-site construction' with its unpredictable nuances and compromises. Each of our houses is manufactured to engineering standards in strictly controlled factory conditions. There are no coincidences — only precision, quality, and consistency.Second, we're so confident in our solutions that we can provide real guarantees for each house:Lifetime warranty on the load-bearing frame for private individuals.30-year warranty for corporate clients (B2B).5-year warranty on HutJet's own furniture production.Warranty on household appliances — according to manufacturer terms (typically 2-3 years). This section is important not just as a legal formality — it's confirmation of how confident we are in the durability, longevity, and reliability of our houses. All HutJet structures are designed for unlimited relocations and operation in any climate conditions — and these aren't just words. What is the ceiling height? It depends on the model and layout. The basic ceiling height in our houses ranges from 2.7 to 3.3 meters. This is comfortable for any usage scenario — both permanent living and working. However, in new models of the Horisont series, where the family room or living room area exceeds 100 m², the ceiling height reaches 4 meters and above. The space literally breathes. How do HutJet houses perform in winter? The correct answer is with maximum comfort.Comfort starts with the basics: warmth, quiet, and stable microclimate. Thanks to factory production, HutJet has completely eliminated the main drawback of traditional construction — thermal bridges. There are no gaps, breaches in air-tightness, or heat losses that typically occur in houses assembled on-site.The second key element is the ventilation system with heat recovery. In winter, it retains heat, using it to warm fresh air, and in summer, it helps cool the premises.HutJet insulation standards:Walls — 150 mm of insulationFloor — 200 mmCeiling — 250 mmWe use premium-class basalt wool that guarantees not only high thermal insulation performance but also excellent sound insulation, fire resistance, and environmental friendliness. These parameters are entirely sufficient for comfortable living in Ukraine's climate conditions and most European countries. At the same time, we can increase insulation thickness if desired — for example, if you plan to use the house in mountains or regions with harsher climates.Warm, comfortable, and efficient — in winter, summer, and between seasons. This is how HutJet architecture works. Is the sound insulation reliable? We've tested our houses in practice — not theoretically, but using a professional sound level meter. With maximum TV volume in the living room (100 dB), the noise level in the adjacent room was only 35-45 dB. This means the sound insulation between rooms maintains a level of 60-65 dB.For comparison: state building codes require only 52 dB — and that's for walls between separate apartments. We significantly exceed this standard even for internal partitions within one house.Result: you can have a party in the studio, watch a movie at full volume — and still be confident that the bedroom or children's room will remain quiet and peaceful.HutJet — where comfort is felt in every detail. And in every silence.HutJet is more than just a homePrefab is not temporary housing. It's full-fledged architecture that offers more: precision, energy efficiency, adaptability, and durability. We don't just promise — we guarantee. Beauty in Functionality: how Le Corbusier’s Ideas Shape HutJet’s Philosophy
Le Corbusier — one of the most influential architects of the 20th century, a reformer of thinking about space, functionality, and form. He changed the course of architecture by placing the human — their needs, rhythm of life, freedom — at the center of everything.Le Corbusier; Charles-Édouard Jeanneret-GrisIt was he who introduced the concept of modern housing as a "machine for living." Space was no longer a decoration. It became a tool for comfort, efficiency, and freedom. Le Corbusier believed that true beauty lies not in ornaments and excesses, but in the functional appropriateness of every detail. His phrase became symbolic: "My favorite chair is the pilot's seat."When he first saw an airplane in the sky over Paris in the spring of 1909, Le Corbusier called this moment the most important in his life. He understood: the airplane is a perfect example of architecture where every form is subordinate to the task. There is nothing superfluous, nothing accidental. Only what is necessary for flight. Then he realized: placing a decorative statue on the facade of a modern house is as absurd as decorating an airplane with sculptures.Villa Savoye in Poissy (France; 1928-1930). Architect Le CorbusierThis principle became the core of his approach. And today — part of HutJet's philosophy.Catholic cathedral in Ronchamp. Architect Le CorbusierHutJet's prefab houses are a continuation of the legendary architect's ideas. Architecture where every centimeter makes sense. Where space works for people, not vice versa. Where there is nothing superfluous — but everything needed for living with comfort, freedom, and flexibility.HutJet Houses Easily Adapt to your Needs:change layouts;expand with new modules;easily relocate in case of a change in place or lifestyle. This is not just a beautiful form. It's living architecture that changes with you. As in the airplanes of the early 20th century, every detail here is an answer to the question "why".HutJet model T3HutJet model T2HutJet is architecture that works.Visit our showroom of ready-made houses and see for yourself:📍 Kyiv, 101 Stolychne Highway, Domosfera Shopping Centerhttps://youtu.be/mTPtb3OfE-g?si=QXqPdnyGSl2d5LaP
“I Live in a Lego House!” — HutJet Review by its Owner Veniamin
We believe that only the owners can describe HutJet — Dynamic House better than the manufacturers. That's why we visited a family who recently purchased one of our prefab houses. However, when our film crew arrived at the agreed time, the adult family members were absent. So, the 14-year-old son, Veniamin, gave us the tour. How many rooms are in the house, what's its area, and how comfortable it is to live there — all of this is in our report. The teenager met us at the gate and hospitably invited us to the yard, where our tour began.- "You will see a unique house that you won't see anywhere else. Only here. This is HutJet — it's manufactured using modular technology at the factory, like cars on an assembly line. They can be made and delivered to the client in three weeks. I personally saw how the modules of this house were delivered. Then it was assembled on-site like a Lego constructor," Veniamin shares. The HutJet frame is made of wood, but the exterior finish can be chosen individually according to the customer's wishes."For example, we chose copper. In 50 years, it will turn green — this patina gives the house charm. Remember the Statue of Liberty — it was once brown, and now it's green. The same with the Bohdan Khmelnytsky monument in Kyiv," the boy gives examples. After talking about the facade, Veniamin invites us inside:"We don't have keys — only a PIN code, like on a phone. Here we have 112 m², three bedrooms, two bathrooms, a spacious kitchen-living room. Everything you see — furniture, lamps, pillows, appliances — all of this came with the modules, straight from the factory."According to Veniamin, the walls are made of plywood, kitchen cabinets are covered with wax paint — fingerprints don't stay on them. The countertop is made of HPL — it's a wear-resistant material on which you can even cut food. The boy calls the bio-fireplace, which runs on eco-friendly fuel, the heart of the house. It doesn't need to be fueled with wood or have a chimney installed.Next, Veniamin leads us to the parents' bedroom:"Here's a large double bed, wardrobes along the entire wall, and a TV," the boy shows. We can't help but mention the stairs to the second floor — the lighting automatically turns on with the first step. On the second floor is Veniamin's favorite room:"This is my bedroom. There's a bed, a desk, and my favorite windowsill with pillows where I read Harry Potter books."But the main surprise was the spacious open terrace, which can be accessed directly from the bathroom."The value of this house is this: When you live alone, you buy one 40 m2 module for yourself and live comfortably in it. Then you get a wife, you buy another module - and now you have 80 m2 total area. You live together, everything's good. Children come along. For the three of you, 80 m2 is not enough, so you buy another module, and 120 m2 is ideal for you. Then the children move out, you're left as a couple, 120 m2 is too much for you, so you sell the last module on the secondary market like a car and live comfortably in your house with some extra money," the boy concludes. You can see HutJet — Dynamic House models in person at the largest prefab house showroom in Kyiv — Stolychne Highway, 101, Domosfera Shopping Center.https://youtu.be/KxIhzF7yYIs?si=39qYTlFMmWAPwE9z
Came. Saw. Bought: HutJet — Lake model taken directly from the showroom!
In early April, the HutJet — Dynamic House team dismantled the Lake prefab house display model with a total area of 134 m² due to its sale. This house is one of our most popular models, and this time it literally didn't have time to 'sit' in the showroom. The buyer immediately appreciated the advantages of the prefab production concept and chose the ready-made solution.Lake consists of three functional units, comfortably accommodating:a kitchen-living room with large panoramic windows;a cozy bedroom;a children's room;two bathrooms;an entrance hall;a walk-in closet;and a spacious terrace — perfect for outdoor breakfasts or evening relaxation. Before transportation, fragile dishes were removed, appliances were wrapped in protective film, and cabinets and furniture were secured to ensure safe transport. The dismantling was carried out by a team of three specialists: two installers and a crane operator. Work began with disassembling the terrace, after which the modules were loaded onto special trailers — platforms designed for transporting large structures.https://youtu.be/17_TwLUUANc?si=V_TODVzpdCDvlFq6The entire dismantling and transportation process took only one working day. The next morning, installation work began at the new location: laying the foundation and assembling the modules into a single structure. Such implementation timeframes are one of the key arguments in favor of HutJet. The client receives not just a house, but a turnkey solution that's ready to live in literally within a day after purchase. We remind you that HutJet — Dynamic House models are manufactured using prefab technology: each module is created in the factory with maximum precision and comes equipped with everything necessary — from furniture and household appliances to decor and smart home systems.HutJet Means:rapid implementation (from order to move-in within weeks);high assembly quality;freedom to choose design, area, and configuration;convenience of further operation.Want to see with your own eyes what a modern modular home looks like?Visit the largest prefab house showroom in Kyiv:Domosfera Shopping Center, 101 Stolychne Highway.Perhaps your perfect HutJet is already waiting for you there.
Architecture that Makes Sense: HutJet’s Philosophy through the Lens of Santiago Calatrava’s Ideas
Architecture is more than form. It is space that lives, breathes, and changes with you. This idea has been conveyed for decades by one of the most influential architects of our time — Santiago Calatrava. His philosophy has become close to HutJet as well. Because we are convinced: a home is not just a building. It is a dialogue with nature, space, and human needs.Space That Speaks with Nature"Architecture should not simply stand on the ground. It must breathe like a living organism," Calatrava said. This is precisely the principle we have placed at the foundation of our houses. HutJet is not just structures. It is space integrated into the landscape. Space that respects nature, considers wind patterns, solar exposure, terrain, and human needs.HutJet model Sola XLEach of our houses is an extension of the environment. The same rhythm. The same energy. The same organic quality.Form for Life, not for Form's SakeCalatrava spoke simply: "Form for form's sake is sculpture. Architecture is form for life."SERGE ILLINThis is HutJet's philosophy. Every line, every structural element, every detail — none are accidental. They serve comfort, functionality, durability, and the sense of space. There is nothing superfluous here. Everything here is for you. For your rhythm of life, for your comfort, and for your future.Kitchen HutJet model Sola XLWhen Space Has ValueSantiago Calatrava once refused to simplify one of his projects, saying: "When you look at great cathedrals, does it concern you how much they cost? Or are you amazed that they exist?"This answer mirrors our approach. HutJet does not create square meters. We create space where you want to live. Space where function equals aesthetics. Where every detail is thoughtfully considered. Where there are no accidents. Where technology, design, and comfort work toward one goal — the quality of your life.Responsibility to People"An architect is not just an artist. We create the environment in which people live. And we bear responsibility for it," Calatrava said.HutJet fully shares this view. That is why we create houses that adapt to life, not the other way around. Houses that can change their area, location, and configuration. Space that grows with you.https://youtu.be/tk2PddwqTWQ?si=Sf1SVV-Ip0xXvhLgExperience HutJet's Philosophy in PersonWe invite you to our showroom in Kyiv — to see, feel, and hear what architecture that works for you looks like.📍 Stolychne Highway, 101, Domosfera Shopping Center
Bauhaus. Architecture that Changed the World — and Became the Foundation of HutJet’s Philosophy
Bauhaus is not just a style. It's an entire philosophy that revolutionized architecture, design, and spatial thinking in the 20th century. One of the Bauhaus school buildings in Dessau, designed by Walter Gropius in 1925.The Bauhaus school was founded in Germany in 1919 by architect Walter Gropius. It was not just an educational institution, but a progressive creative movement that united architects, artists, engineers, and craftsmen for a common goal — to create objects and buildings that would be maximally functional, technological, and aesthetic simultaneously.Architect Walter GropiusBauhaus rejected the superfluous. No ornaments for ornament's sake. No luxury that exists purely for visual effect. Instead — clean lines, open planes, natural light, rational forms, perfect balance between beauty and function. It was here that the idea was first established: architecture should serve people, not the other way around. Space should be adaptive to life, convenient for work, rest, and development. It's not people who should adapt to the house — the house should adapt to people.Bauhaus Complex in Dessau. T. FranzenBauhaus and the Birth of Prefab ArchitectureBauhaus principles became the foundation for industrial architecture development. The idea of manufacturing not just furniture, but entire houses in factory conditions is a direct continuation of these approaches. Where traditional construction depends on weather, human factors, and endless delays, prefab technologies offer something different: precision, speed, quality control at every stage.A house created using prefab technology is an engineering product. It is designed as a system. As in Bauhaus, every detail here is well-thought-out, every solution is functional. And simultaneously — aesthetic lines, natural materials, honesty of form. How It's Implemented in HutJetHutJet continues these ideas at a new level. We create not just houses, but dynamic architectural solutions. Space that adapts to life: changing area, location, function. Housing that can not only be built but also relocated, expanded, or transformed when your life changes.HutJet model ShiftWe design each house as a single integrated object. There's no compromise between beauty and practicality. Only integrated solutions, only space that works for people.https://youtu.be/cio2O3bTm2A?si=3YK9Bf-_jKa4SFjlJust as Bauhaus proclaimed a hundred years ago: “Form follows function.” We add: "Form follows you."HutJet — space that lives with you.
“First We Shape our Buildings, then They Shape Us.” Winston Churchill
These words of the great English statesman remain relevant today. Indeed, the space we live in truly shapes our thinking, mood, and way of life. A home is not just a structure. It's an environment that affects us daily: limiting or, conversely, giving a sense of freedom. It promotes ease - or forces constant adaptation.Sir Winston Leonard Spencer-Churchill - British politician, statesman of the 20th century. This very idea forms the foundation of HutJet's philosophy. We are convinced: architecture should work for people, not the other way around. A house shouldn't dictate the rules of life - it should adapt to the rhythms, habits, and dreams of its owner. That's why our prefab houses are more than just square footage. It's a dynamic space that changes with you. HutJet houses are easily expandable, adaptable, and transformable. Today - it's a compact studio for one person. Tomorrow - a spacious family home with additional modules. And later - a new location and stage of life, where the house will move with you.https://youtu.be/tyK8nSXYnHU?si=yi72KFZ0PGuxg4KmWe build spaces that don't limit. On the contrary - they support freedom, ease, and the ability to change your life as you wish. This is the architecture of a new generation. Architecture that shapes space. And shapes the feeling of a life full of possibilities.HutJet - space that works for you.
